Who runs this, and why that matters to you
An insurance brokerage operates a public advisory instrument and research library. That is a real commercial relationship, and the only honest way to handle it is to state it on every page and design the site so it cannot quietly become a lead funnel.
The operator
BestInsurance Research is operated by WJB Services, Inc., doing business as Bollinsure Insurance Services, a California insurance brokerage. Its California Department of Insurance agency licence number is 6013787.
Licensed producers:
- Brian Bollinger, California licence 0D94699
- Aaron Bollinger, California licence 4345268
This site is not a regulator, a rating agency, an insurer, or an independent consumer organization, and it does not present itself as any of those. It is a public advisory instrument and research library published by a brokerage.
Why it exists
Most insurance information online is written to capture a lead. The tell is structural: the answer is thin, the sources are absent or decorative, and the real payload is a form. That pattern trains people to distrust the whole category, including the parts that would actually help them.
The alternative is a library that answers the question completely, shows its evidence, states its uncertainty, and lets you leave. If that is genuinely useful, some readers will later choose to work with a broker, and some of those will choose this one. That is a slower and more defensible way to earn the work than gating an answer behind an email field.
The promise
Ask an insurance question. See the answer, the evidence, the uncertainty, and the next responsible step.
All four parts matter. An answer without evidence is an opinion. Evidence without a stated uncertainty is overconfidence. And a next step that is always "contact us" is a funnel wearing a library's clothes.
Where this sits
Four things exist, and keeping them distinct is deliberate.
- BestInsurance Research, this site, attracts, explains, cites, and organizes public information. It collects nothing.
- Bollinsure handles identified client intake, licensed advice, quoting, uploads, appointments, email, and calls. Everything personal happens there, under its own disclosed terms.
- CovWell is the insured-facing self-guided coverage and service product. It is not a second research library or advisory instrument, and it is outside this site.
- BestAMS is Bollinsure's private system of record. Nothing on this site reads from it, writes to it, or is trained on it.
The research journey never requires a handoff. Every answer, its full source ledger, and its stated limits are complete whether or not you ever click a Bollinsure link.
What is published so far
The library is deliberately small and deep rather than large and thin. There are 16 canonical questions, 10 coverage pages, 3 organization records, 3 state pages, 11 labeled examples, 3 tools, and 274 source records behind them.
Lines and jurisdictions that are not published yet are named as gaps on the coverage index and the states index, with no route and no sitemap entry, rather than published as empty pages. Tools that are specified but not built stay in the registry for the same reason.
Speaking of Insurance
Bollinsure publishes a podcast, Speaking of Insurance. Its canonical feed is hosted on Transistor and its canonical episode archive lives on Bollinsure. This site does not mirror the feed, does not compete with that archive, and does not import transcripts as research pages.
An episode may be cited here when it materially supports an answer, with a direct link to the canonical Bollinsure episode page and a clear source label. A transcript enters the corpus only after factual review, source mapping, and segmentation into claims, exactly like any other source.
